It even cleans the floor after it vacuums this feature, which we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

With an elegant circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba rather than the boxes This mop and robot vacuum is one of the most appealing looking in our evaluations. iRobot's latest flagship model also is among the most intelligent and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's also the only robotic vacuum or mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our testing. This is thanks to a mix of high-tech sensors including a structured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is simple to use. It has a simple mobile app interface that integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that it's loud that could be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you attempt to sleep.
