However, they do have a few flaws that keep them from being our top pick. One of the flaws of the Q5 is that its navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to become stuck on shoes and socks and couldn't navigate through rooms with a lot of people efficiently during our tests. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot vacuum/mop combination.
3. iRobot Roomba X40

It's one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It also comes with an attribute known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas in the home based on how dirty the areas are.
If you own a larger home, you should consider choosing a model that has zones or spot cleaning modes. The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate an exercise in mapping, which gathers information on your floorplan and any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules or to create a spot-clean. You can also use it to rank your most filthy areas for greater efficiency. The app offers a variety of features, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
