Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
Now is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's best combo vacuum-rated models will be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot remote vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the best robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to remote control vacuum cleaner. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean in areas you don't wish to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.
Its design is a step above the competition, with a sleek top robot vacuum cleaner piece that looks more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal It also self-empties which will reduce your cleaning time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could capture sand and small gravel which other robots aren't able to do. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, is still a good option for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you see it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water that allows them to vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have some of the premium features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little missed corners and along walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device, or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was designed specifically to make this robot simple to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also has a large LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people however it will aid in keeping the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the best in the industry, but it's expensive.
It's a small base station that looks beautiful and can be hidden when not in use. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the few robovacs I've tried that does an excellent job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a clean zone for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price price.
If you're looking to save some money or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models for significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive, but offers more features, including the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpet floors, as well as mopping functions at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up, just connect one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock near an electrical outlet and ample space to allow it to move but.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It can be placed under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more subtle compared to some rival models. It is sleek with a black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its competitors. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. If it requires a recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it began.
The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring costs, charges faster and offers similar battery life. It also offers better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 however, is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky material such as cereal.
