11 Ways To Totally Defy Your Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.
For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade items non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with fewer Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.
A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of an item will be available at the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much it will increase after a future reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it is likely that the item will become obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also offer the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in many ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 whenever you can.
In the endgame, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your equipment is to use Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components which can be upgraded to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs, and there are also a few rare Glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Utilizing Glyphs Glyph will boost all nodes connected to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrade (Minagricultura says) system allows players to increase the stats of specific items by inserting upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields some Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When the player upgrade a piece of equipment the original item is replaced by the new item. The same armor can be transformed into an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback since the item may become more expensive even if you do not need it.
Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to do so. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with a level 1 base and a different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful however it shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player continuously enters or exits water. This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely important in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each each time you upgrade an item, it is given the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting to its initial state which means that the player has to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned like the chance to crit, attack damage, or additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
