World of Warcraft - item upgrade Upgrading

The item upgrade allows players to boost the gear rating of an item up to 700 points and add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the Kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like an ideally rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) while others like weapons don't change much post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. This bonus may be more than the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons will also reroll the stats of the base. While this is generally beneficial but it can also have negative consequences too. In the case of items that only see use in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example), upgrading them may make them unusable unless you get a fortunate roll.

Armor items can be upgraded to improve their stats. This will increase the base defense of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor also has an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it could change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, along with the relative value of those stats. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining 33% attack damage. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button that has arrows that circle in the menu for items. This will roll the item upgrader kit and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level or connect to the status of your account.

Armor

A few tweaks to your armor could make a an enormous difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE improvements in the resistance to poison, curses fire, magic, and other. This can make it easier to get through difficult areas. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the greater health you will get from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them and each one requires you to complete a specific side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and mastered the fountain that corresponds, you can then speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor is different. In general, you're looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in frigid environments with a lot of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense to ensure you're able to withstand a rout with friends.

You can't upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor for physical strength or spell power. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you will still be wearing at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. In general, you should keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be beneficial to have a few upgrades to your chest armor and helmets that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed, provide the user with an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to enhance their level of effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in an chest of the Alchemist. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion used and the item's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you choose the potion that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP total.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you re-use it, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name.

There were a few updates to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item. The potion table is now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron drains the liquid and refills the bottle.

There are also simmering potions made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone is also added to potions that are lingering to increase their effect. The table of potion ingredients is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket could be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece jewelry. It can also refer to a small ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't important, like a trinket. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize friendship or affection, especially between family members.

Trinkets can be upgraded by players as well as weapons and armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrade upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying an entirely new one. It is possible to upgrade players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the old trinket but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

When the old Trinkets are no longer useful, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their top-priority items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that they won't replace soon (for example, a ring or cloak). When deciding which items to upgrade, players should also be aware of their class's preferred statistics. For example If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks it is recommended that they upgrade their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.

When they are no longer useful trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1percent bonus. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it is salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still less expensive than buying the new one.
