Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your time to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its most significant advancement is an obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of any object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the best robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep in areas that you don't want. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop using your voice.
The design is also more appealing than the competition. It has a sleek, top piece that resembles an toy, not the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System also self cleaning vacuum-empties, which will reduce your cleaning time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it all over the floor. It even could catch small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
The j7+, although not as intelligent as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and can't clean the stairs, is an option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to determine if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best choice is probably hybrid. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water which means they can mop and vacuum your home at the same time. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive at retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model. While it doesn't have some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using the buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this robot simple to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is simple. It also comes with a large LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for the majority of people, however it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.
The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and the size is relatively compact. The station's most appealing point is how it automates various tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the few robovacs I've tested that does very well at collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It can't climb stairs as well as competitors, for instance and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a vacuum robot that can do it all.
If you're looking to save money or don't want to think about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other great choices available with a wide range of eufy models priced significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive and has more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile, and even high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing budget robot vacuum vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet and have enough space to move.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and will fit under many couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which cleans the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform room cleaning robot that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The primary characteristic that distinguishes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged faster and offers similar battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin that doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with heavy materials such as cereal.
