The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.

Its design is also superior to the rest and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System also self-empties, which can cut down on cleaning time.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It was able capture small gravel, sand and even a tiny bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

The j7+, while not as intelligent as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, is still an option for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic vacuum cleaner deals cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have some of the premium features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls and walls, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is an area that many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones or modify your home map or change the room's label.

If you choose the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed emptying the bin can be done without difficulty. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people however it can help you keep the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is among the top in the market, but it's expensive.

The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The main reason to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your self-cleaning robot vacuums fully charged and clean.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robovac that I've tested that does a good job picking up dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It also can't climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a clean zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.

But if you want to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot there are many other options available, including a lot of eufy models that cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive and has more features, including stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on bare floors, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping functions as well as carpets at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app guides you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It uses an integrated map to draw a picture of the immovable items in its path. It remembers the items it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its base and resumes cleaning where it started.

The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and has a similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as often and comes with a set of boundaries that restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be empty as often and has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
